Carmel Valley attorney launches law firm with family
Carmel Valley attorney Frederick Schenk, who also serves as president of the Del Mar Fairgrounds Board of Directors, has launched The Schenk Law Firm with his sister, former U.S. Rep. Lynn Schenk, and his son Benjamin Schenk.
The firm will specialize in personal injury, business and mass tort law, according to a news release.
“We are thrilled to combine our extensive experience, complementary strengths and considerable resources and leverage our skills as consumer advocates to protect our clients’ rights and provide legal services to those who have been physically injured or financially damaged,” Frederick Schenk, who has been a partner at CaseyGerry for more than 40 years, said in a statement. “As dedicated trial lawyers, we are passionate about giving a voice to those who have been harmed through no fault of their own or taken advantage of by corporate misconduct.”
Lynn Schenk, who served one term in the House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995, will oversee government and public policy, in addition to community engagement. She also served as chief of staff to former California Gov. Gray Davis and as the state’s secretary of business, transportation and housing under former Gov. Jerry Brown, and co-founded the Lawyers Club of San Diego.
Benjamin Schenk has previously been a trial lawyer with Fell Law. His focuses have been catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, mass torts and complex business litigation.
